Renovation of the baggage handling system

We encourage passengers to arrive early

At Keflavik Airport, we are renovating our baggage handling system. The project will double the capacity of the whole system and thus lead to increased efficiency and faster services at the airport. During the construction time, some of the check-in desks will be closed. This will unavoidably slow the check-in service temporarily.

Check-in opens at 4:30 AM

To ensure fast service and to minimize discomfort, check-in for the morning flights will open at 4:30 AM. To avoid standing in lines, we encourage passengers to arrive early and to use the online check-in or the self-service check-in kiosks if possible (check availability at your airline). Bus tours from Reykjavik City to the airport will start at 4:00 AM.
