The fee arrangement for taxi services at the terminal at Keflavík initially came into force in 2015. The current fee arrangement was established in 2023 and is being put in place to better manage the traffic structure, as well as to improve facilities for drivers.
A controlled access area has been set up for taxi drivers and only those who have a license to drive taxis can buy access there.
Anyone who has a valid work permit according to Act no. 120/2022 on taxi driving can fill out an application and buy a pass. The application process is electronic and takes place here. Only those who have a valid work permit according to the aforementioned law are authorized to purchase access to the designated area for taxis at the terminal.
