875 thousand guests in June

Guests of KEF Airport were 874,964 in June this year, which is a 1.6% increase from June last year.

A total of 25 airlines flew to 79 destinations in June. The most popular destinations were New York, London, Copenhagen, Paris, and Boston.

The busiest day of June was on June 30th when 34,590 guests made their way through the airport.

The departures of Icelanders were 65 thousand in June which is a 17% increase from the same period last year.

According to the Icelandic Tourist Board, the departures of foreign passengers were 212 thousand in June which is a -9% decrease from the same month last year. Most departures were due to American citizens (38%), followed by German (7%), British (5%), Polish (4%), and Canadian (4%).
